*SENTENCE COMBINATION*

Learning to combine ideas into more complex sentences is an important writing skill. There are many ways to do this. Try to combine the following three sentences.

Sentence 1The Immigrant Access Fund provides loans for internationally trained immigrants.
Sentence 2Many immigrant professionals find it hard to pursue their careers in Canada because of accreditation difficulties.
Sentence 3The loans help pay the costs associated with accreditation, training, or upgrading.

Great try, Audrey. But your conjunction seems to misconstrue the situation.

I think you want to say the opposite of "even though" -- maybe something like "because" or "as":

The Immigrant Access Fund provides loans that help internationally trained immigrants pay the costs associated with accreditation, training, or upgrading, AS many of them find it hard to pursue their careers in Canada because of accreditation difficulties.

or (using a relative pronoun):

The Immigrant Access Fund provides loans to help pay the costs associated with accreditation, training, or upgrading of internationally trained immigrants, many of whom find it hard to pursue their careers in Canada because of accreditation difficulties.
